What will you be doing? 

As a Commis Chef you'll play a vital role in our commitment to delivering the highest level of hospitality. You'll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic, innovative, and collaborative culinary environment where your skills and passion for food will be valued and celebrated. You will lead by example, upholding our core values. 

• Hospitality at Our Core: Ensure that every dish you prepare reflects warmth and care for our guests. Your culinary creations should not only be delicious but also reflect the essence of hospitality in every bite. 

• Do the Right Thing: Uphold our commitment to ethical and sustainable culinary practices. Work closely with the team to ensure that food safety, hygiene, and ethical sourcing are always at the forefront of your work. 

• Pursue Excellence: Strive for perfection in every dish you create. Continuously improve your skills and stay updated with the latest culinary trends. Collaborate with the team to maintain the highest standards in food quality and presentation. 

• We Are All Entrepreneurs: Be open to new ideas and approaches in the kitchen. Share your creativity and innovative culinary ideas. Work with the team to develop new menu items, contribute to a positive work environment, and engage in problem-solving. 

WHAT DO I NEED? 

The ideal candidate will have:

• A basic understanding and willingness to learn classic cookery and seasonal British ingredients.

• Good, demonstratable knife skills. 

• Thorough understanding of kitchen etiquette and practice, such as lack of wastage, cleanliness and punctuality. 

• Willingness to learn and develop – we can teach people to cook as long as they have the right attitude.

• Level 2 food safety.

• An unrelenting pursuit of quality within all aspects of the kitchen.
